Welcome to Otters

In Otters class, we believe that learning should be a place where everyone feels safe, supported, and inspired. Our goal is to create a learning environment where the children feel confident to explore new ideas, take on challenges, and grow as an independent learner.

Throughout the year, there are chances to learn in a variety of ways; through hands-on activities, creative projects, group work, and individual tasks. We’re learning how to think, how to ask questions, and how to support each other.

As well as our core subjects, we’ll be exploring a wide range of exciting topics. Our history lessons will take us back in time to explore the invasion and settlement of Britain, while in geography, we’ll journey through rainforests and follow the paths of rivers around the world. In Design Technology, we’ll be experimenting with electrical systems to create our own working products. In art, we’ll discover how different media can be used to create powerful effects. Music will take us from rock and roll to the sounds of South America and the traditions of Indonesian music and in computing we will be the production of audio, and how we can edit photos creatively.

Please do come and talk to us at the end of the day if you have any questions.

Mr Roxby-Clarke (Mon-Weds), Miss Whitworth (Weds-Fri) and Miss Rigden
